BIMBER - Da Hong Pao Tea - Gin - 51,8%

The Bimber Distillery is located in London, England. It was founded by whisky enthusiasts (Ewelina Chruszczyk and Dairusz Plazewski), with a mission to produce high quality spirits with character, using traditional methods rarely seen today.

The Gin is made from their four-times distilled wheat vodka, a combination of plants and in particular Da Hong Pao tea. Da Hong Pao is a rare, heavily oxidized oolong tea with an earthy, floral and sweet taste profile. Prized by tea connoisseurs around the world, Da Hong Pao grows among the rocks of the impressive Wuyi Mountains of southern China. Once brewed and drained, these rare tea leaves are mixed with the high-alcohol gin. The gin and tea leaves are infused for maximum flavour extraction before being filtered and bottled at a high concentration of 51.8%.
