Moscato d'Asti - Lumine Vigneti di Ca'D'Gal 2020
Ca'd'Gal is a family-owned winery based in Valdivilla, in Piemonte. Some of the vineyards are more than 50 years old, with soil that is light in color and texture and rich in sand with ideal exposures, combined with a limited production, all of which contributes to the structure, longevity and quality of their Moscato d’Asti.
The Moscato d’Asti Lumine is produced from estate vineyards that are between 20 to 35 years old.
The production area is quite large, so there are different compositions of soil, which has led them to work harder to obtain lower yields and therefore achieve a higher quality. The vinification is carried out in pressurized autoclaves stainless steel tanks for the number of days required to reach an alcohol content of up to 5% to obtain the necessary fizziness. The optimal balance between total sugars and proper acidity, is an important decision so every year they have to choose the right time to harvest which then allow them to make a fresh Moscato with an intense bouquet that is also delicate and elegant. With lively bubbles that are never aggressive, it has a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness.
Grape variety: 100% Moscato Bianco (Muscat à Petits Grains)
