Domaine de Fondrèche - Rouge 2020
Domaine de Fondrèche is located in Mazan, in the Ventoux appellation in the Rhône. The estate is managed by Sébastien Vincenti, who is keen to favour ecology and the environment in his production method: installation of photovoltaic panels, treatment of cellar water, vineyard management in organic farming, reduction of phytosanitary products at profit from decoction and infusion of plants... The estate today consists of three large plots well defined according to their production objectives for a total of 40 hectares. The lunar calendar influences all interventions on the plant in order to strengthen the natural defenses of the vine.
The wines of Domaine de Fondrèche summarize the philosophy of the estate, 20 years of work and restructuring of the estate.
The Rouge 2020 is a blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (20%) with an average age of the vines of around 40 years. The vinification is traditional with a vatting of 21 to 28 days with only a few small punching downs. Aging is carried out in ovoid vats, barrels and foudres.
