Super Shochu Spirits is a premium shochu label (a rough Japanese spirit distilled from any of various ingredients, including sake dregs) working with a selection of distillers who are true artisans of shochu production. It has been produced since ancient times and has a unique history and place in the world. The company is based in Osaka, Japan.
This Shochu is made from barley grown in Kyushu, and was distilled in 2019 at Yanagita Distillery located at Miyakonojo-city in Miyazaki prefecture. The Koji used (mold used to make the fermented beverage) is White Koji Rice. It was distilled in pot still and matured for 2 years in Mizunara cask.
