Damien Laureau - L'Alliance 2020
Domaine Damien Laureau is located in Savennières in the Loire Valley. Damien Laureau chose to settle with his family in Anjou in 1999. After a few years in Ste Gemmes-sur-Loire at Clos Frémur as a winegrower and arboriculturist, Damien refocused on working in the vineyard in 2006. Engineers in agriculture, Damien and Florence Laureau lead their business with a constant concern for respect and enhancement of the Savennières terroir with certification in organic farming.
L’Alliance is made from Chenin Blanc from several micro-terroirs of sands and sandstone shales in Savennières. This cuvée was previously called Petite Roche but has changed its name since, since the 2019 vintage, it has juices from the young Pitrouillet plot, planted in goblets and worked on horseback. Alcoholic fermentation and aging are carried out on lees, in stainless steel vats for 12 months.
Grape variety: 100% Chenin Blanc
