Domaine Andrée - L'Envolée - Grolleau 2018
Domaine Andrée is located in the Anjou appellation, in the Loire Valley. The small cellar was founded by Stéphane Erisée. Before creating the domain, he worked with Antoine Foucault, from Domaine du Collier. He exploits 5 hectares of vines which he cultivates in organic farming and produces wines from Cabernet Franc, Chenin, Grolleau Noir and Grolleau Gris grapes, pursuing the philosophy of minimal intervention and using the minimum of sulphites in the processes of winemaking.
L’Envolée is a blend of Grolleau Noir and Grolleau Gris. The vines of Grolleau Noir are around 50 years old, those of Grolleau Gris are 20 years old. Maceration lasts 3 weeks, then aging lasts 12 months in barrels, 1/3 of which are new.
