Tamosi is an independent bottling company , whose purpose is to explore the rich history and culture of the pre-Columbian and pre-colonial Caribbean. At least 10% of the profits from each bottle are dedicated to supporting indigenous communities around the world with land rights, self-determination and cultural preservation.
Tiba comes from an undisclosed distillery in Panama . It is made from locally grown sugar cane molasses, undergoes open fermentation for a period of 36-48 hours with a proprietary yeast strain, before being distilled in a column still. This rum spent 6 years aging in Panama and another 7 years aging in a continental climate in an ex-bourbon cask .
