Gadyamb - The Cuvée de la Reine - Victoria Pineapple & Basil of the Gods - 34%
Gadyamb is a brand of arranged rums created by Etienne and Julien . They met in 1999, in Saint Joseph, at the southern tip of Reunion Island and left the island to do their higher education in France. In 2018, they put their professional careers as a media consultant and chef on hold to embark on a project imagined during the long metropolitan winters: Les Arrangés Gadyamb . Gadyamb's know-how is based on three fundamental pillars: trusted partners (caring producers, concerned about respecting the land and traditions), the selection of ingredients (fruit picked at perfect ripeness, cut and processed by hand to keep all their flavors) and an original method (maceration in barrels before filtration, for a stable end product, without impurities and entirely drinkable).
Arrived in England in the middle of the 19th century by the route of India, a particularly fragrant little pineapple instantly conquered Queen Victoria. The English climate being slightly too humid to cultivate it, she did not hesitate to send ships to cross the globe to bring back her precious fruit, named "Pineapple Victoria" in her honor. La Cuvée de la Reine is an arranged rum made from Reunion IGP rum, Victoria Pineapple, Basil of the Gods and cane sugar.
