Bruxo - Mezcal X - Agave Espadin & Barril - 40%
Bruxo is a brand of Mezcal located in Oaxaca, Mexico . The agave is harvested and during this process the leaves or pencas are cut from the core of the agave. The agave hearts are put in an underground conical pit to cook for 3 to 7 days. They are then pressed by a tahona (a heavy stone wheel used to crush agave) to extract the agave juice. The master mezcalero uses a copper still, the fermented mixture is heated, evaporated and sent through a condensing coil. The alcohol from the first distillation passes through the still again, repeating the distillation process.
Bruxo X was designed by Juan Morales from the Espadin and Barril agave varieties. It was smoked from pine and oak barrels.
