Version Française is a trading range from La Maison du Whiskey , made up of French spirits. The objective is to favor short circuits and encourage more local consumption.

The Castan Distillery is located in Villeneuve sur Vère, in Occitanie. In 1941, the Castan family carried a traveling still through all the villages of Tarn and Aveyron. Gilbert, at the origin of this activity, transmits his know-how to his son and his grandson Sébastien, the current distiller. The practice of itinerant distillers having disappeared, the third generation was forced to reinvent their profession. Sébastien Castan decided to build a fruit and whiskey distillery in 2007, and distilled his first whiskey in February 2010.

This edition was distilled in 2017 and aged in barrels that contained white wine . The whiskey comes from a single cask ( #144) which was bottled in 2022.
