Maison Mounicq - Gin Avem - Corvus 2020 - Navy Strength - 57.2%
Maison Mounicq was founded in 2017 by Cédrik Nadé , in Bordeaux . He grew up in Fronsac, in a small family winery. He uses grapes from the Bordeaux region to produce spirits.
The Gin Avem – Corvus is a London Dry Gin made in Cognac and assembled from three eaux-de-vie . The first distillation is carried out with the four grape varieties used for vodka: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sémillon. During the second distillation, only the juniper berries (essential to produce Gin) are distilled. The third distillation includes aromatic plants: Jamaican pepper, coriander, lemon peel, etc. Corvus contains a higher proportion of juniper brandy than for Gin Avem, and a bitter orange distillate is added and the Gin is reduced to 57.2%.
