Domaine Alain Gras - Auxey Duresses 2021
Domaine Alain Gras is located in the Saint-Romain appellation in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . The estate was founded in 1979 and today covers 12 hectares in Saint-Romain, Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. The vineyard is conducted in sustainable agriculture .
The red Auxey-Duresses is made from Pinot Noir whose average age of the vine is 100 years. After the manual harvest, the harvest is sorted and then completely destemmed. The vatting lasts 12 to 15 days with daily pumping over and punching down. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels , 20% of which are new.
