Yohan Lardy - Vines of 1903 - Windmill 2021
Yohan Lardy is a young winemaker from Beaujolais . He owns a few hectares of old Gamay vines, on plots planted in 1911 and 1950 on the heights of the Cru Moulin-à-Vent , in the “Les Michelons” climat. The harvests are manual and the vinification is done in whole bunches with indigenous yeasts, without any input. The domain is undergoing High Environmental Value certification . The wines are aged in oak barrels to obtain the best possible balance between fruit and tannins.
THE Moulin-à-Vent Vines from 1903 comes from Gamay vines planted in 1903 on a micro-terroir of 75 ares composed of sand, pink granite and white quartz. Viticulture is done without herbicides or synthetic products, and winemaking without inputs. The aging lasts 12 months in tuns.
