Château Simone - White - Magnum 2020
Château Simone is located in the town of Meyreuil, in the small appellation of Palette in Provence . It has belonged to the Rougier family since 1830. Its exposed location on the northern slope of the Montaiguet massif, in a cirque protected from the winds and crossed by the Arc, gives it the benefit of a particular microclimate . The vineyard is influenced by the biodiversity of the forest environment, the supply of humidity from the river and its mass of greenery, the direction and attenuation of the force of the winds.
Château Simone Blanc is a blend of Clairette (80%), Grenache Blanc (10%), Bourboulenc (5%), Ugni Blanc (3%) and Muscat Blanc (2%). The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand, at full maturity with sorting of the grapes. The grapes are lightly crushed and then pressed. The aging lasts 18 months in small oak tuns , including 6 months on fine lees then 1 year in barrels before bottling.
