Izarra - Green Liquor - 40%
Izarra is a liqueur created in 1906 in Hendaye, in the Basque Country , by Joseph Grattau, a botanist and pharmacist. Izarra is a liqueur made from a distillate composed of plants, spices and two macerations, prunes and walnut husk. After distillation in a copper still, it is combined with Armagnac with a little sugar.
Izarra Verte contains over 17 botanicals including nutmeg, coriander, fennel, angelica seeds and roots, celery, balsamite (otherwise known as roostermint), elderflower, coriander seeds, black caraway, wild thyme, cardamom, green anise and genepi.
