The Maison Mounicq was founded in 2017 by Cédrik Nadé, in the heart of Bordeaux, a region worldwide renowned for its wine excellence. Coming from a family owning a vineyard in Fronsac, he leverages his unique expertise by using exclusively grapes from the Bordeaux region to craft exceptional spirits that reflect the Bordeaux terroir.
The Gin Avem – Botaurus, the result of an innovative collaboration with Stéphane Allender, founder of the Tame Spirits Distillery, perfectly embodies the art of artisanal distillation. Its production begins with a first distillation using the four emblematic grape varieties of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sémillon, also used for the vodka. The second distillation is dedicated to juniper berries, an essential ingredient in creating an authentic gin. The third distillation enhances this blend with aromatic plants grown in aquaponics in Gironde: nasturtiums, parsley, and rosebuds, bringing a unique and lasting aromatic complexity. The result is a harmonious blend of these three distillates, an exclusive and rare micro-production limited to 1,116 bottles, guaranteeing an exceptional tasting experience.
