Whiskey MICHEL COUVREUR - Verry Sherried 25 Years - Edition 2023 - 1998/2023 - 50%
Independent bottler Michel Couvreur was originally a Burgundy wine producer and trader. He turned to the world of whiskey in 1978 and distilled for the first time in Edradour in 1986. At the time, he wanted to buy a distillery in Scotland but his wife was against it and they decided to settle in Bouze -Lès-Beaune , halfway between Scotland and Andalusia, and to intervene in the breeding of whiskeys; mainly in Sherry and Port barrels. The range is very varied and meticulous work of assembly, selection of new barrels and unusual techniques is undertaken daily. Since his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have continued the work of Michel Couvreur.
This edition was distilled in Scotland on June 16 , 1998 . The whiskey was aged in Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels in the Burgundian cellars of Michel Couvreur and bottled 25 years later, on June 16, 2023. 975 bottles were produced.
