Mizu Shochu - Barley Saga - 35%
Shochu Mizu is produced by the Munemasa Shuzo company in Japan . The distillery, established in 1985, is inspired by the artisanal heritage of the town of Arita known as the cradle of Japanese porcelain craftsmanship. More than 120 years ago, the Munemasa family opened a small brewery and sake shop in Hiroshima, but the devastation of World War II forced it to close. The desire to return to the family's roots inspired the move to Arita, an ideal location for shochu production given the crystal clear waters and rich agricultural land. Mizu Shochu is distilled in the traditional Japanese way; distillation is limited to a single pass to preserve natural flavors and aromas.
Saga Barley is made from barley (67%) and Black Koji variety rice (33%).
