Domaine AF Gros is an estate based in Pommard , Burgundy that produces Pinot Noir at Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru levels from the communes of Pommard, Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune, Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny. The estate is one of three created in 1988, when Jean and Jeanine Gros began sharing their estate (Domaine Jean Gros) between their three children, Michel, Bernard and Anne-Françoise. The Estate covers 14 hectares mainly planted with Pinot Noir, both in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. A plot of vines recently acquired in Moulin à Vent (in Beaujolais) completes the range of wines offered. François Parent, originally from Pommard, is Anne-Françoise's husband. He has been the winemaker of the estate's wines since its creation. Today, two of their three children work on the estate: Caroline and Mathias. The brother and sister separate winemaking, and the other, the management, development and marketing of the wines.
The bunches are harvested manually and brought back to the estate in refrigerated trucks. The wine is aged for 8 to 9 months ; half in 500 liter casks and the rest in 228 liter barrels of 3 to 4 wines . The wines are assembled then left to rest for 1 month in stainless steel vats .
