Perrin Family - Gigondas - La Gille 2022
The Perrin family has been established in the Rhone Valley since the beginning of the 20th century. In 1909, Pierre Tramier acquired the Château de Beaucastel in Châteuneuf-du-Pape. Subsequently, his son-in-law, Pierre Perrin, followed by his son Jacques, developed Beaucastel and the vineyards owned. Today, the 5th generation operates the wine estates: Château de Beaucastel, Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins, Domaine du Clos des Tourelles, Famille Perrin, La Vieille Ferme and Miraval en Provence. From 1950, they innovated by working in organic farming , then in 1974, they converted the Château de Beaucastel vineyard to biodynamics.

The maceration stage is long, it allows the tannins to round out and refine. Extraction is done by manual punching down. After malolactic fermentation and blending, the wines are aged in tuns and wooden vats for 12 months .
