Domaine OSTERTAG - Fronholz - Riesling 2017

This beautiful cuvée offers a classic expression of great Riesling, with a fine, precise and very elegant wine.
The particularity of Fronholz is its salty finish, due to the many mineral salts in its soil. This great salinity predisposes it for many gastronomic pairings because it makes salivating, invigorates the palate and opens the appetite .

A feeling of well-being hangs over the estate, where each member of the family finds its place. André Ostertag has been enjoying the energy of his son Arthur since the 2016 vintage: carte blanche was even given to him on the Zellberg, where Arthur signs the sparkling Exutoire ZR1 cuvée. Formerly grouped together in the Barrel, Pinots Gris and Blancs are now part of the Jardins range. Ostertag exploits beautiful plots in the Zellberg and Fronholz terroirs, on the grand cru Muenchberg, without forgetting the Clos Mathis on the Hagel in Ribeauvillé, the little touch of the faithful cultivation manager Hubert Mathis. Any Alsace lover must know this area, which provides a lot of pleasure in the entire range thanks to its magical wines. The result, undoubtedly, of a work of the vine in biodynamics for twenty years and of a vinification always precise and pure.
