A1710 is part of a resolutely modernist spirit that wants to combine the best of tradition and innovation for an authentic, refined, daring result… in short, exceptional.
Its creation dates back to 1710, and owes its essence to the will of Jean Assier. Today it is his direct descendant, Yves Assier de Pompignan, who is at the origin of the new philosophy that drives the distillery and the Habitation du Simon (taken over by the brand). This distillery is also equipped with a rather unique Charentais copper still, completed with 7 trays which bears the sweet name of "Belle Aline". In a marvelous setting in the middle of nature and the cane fields, a small team is busy doing every step of the development of these great rums: from the field to bottling. Each operation is done by hand with the greatest care. We are here in the hand sewn! A separate distillery where craftsmanship is the key word.
Diamond Rock is the last born of this micro distillery It is an agricultural white rum distilled from fresh canes, pressed once. The long cane, cut by hand, is transported to the three Rolls mill of A1710, located at the Habitation du Simon au François in Martinique. It is crushed once in order to extract its nectar. This first and only press allows you to recover the best and purest juice. Distilled in a copper still fitted with its 7-plate column, Diamond Rock is slowly reduced to 50.5%.
Diamond Rock is a festive, Rock n Roll rum, as sweet as a B but with the power of a C. Remarkable finesse and softness in a ti-punch or in a cocktail, but also wonderful in pure tasting, Diamond Rock will delight all aficionados of mixology and great white rums.
