MIDLETON - Dair Ghaelach - Knockrtath Forest Tree 7 - 56,5%

The Midleton distilleries complex is situated in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. It is owned by Irish Distillers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Several whiskeys are produced on site, including Jameson, Tullamore Dew, or Redbreast to name a few. Midleton is a premium Irish whiskey, produced at the New Midleton Distillery, in the East Cork town of Midleton. Each year, a new bottling is specially created by the Master Distiller at the Midleton Distillery, using whiskeys handpicked from the distillery's warehouses. Each vintage differs, is only released in very limited quantities individually numbered and signed by the Master Distiller, and sold in an accompanying wooden display case.

The Dair Ghaelach series, pronounced "dar gayloch", means Irish oak. The concept of this range is to discover the variety and influence of new oak barrels, each edition coming from different forests. Tree 7 is a Single Pot Stillwhiskey aged between 15 and 22 years in American oak barrels then matured for 10 months in new Irish oak barrelsfrom County Wicklow.
