Domaine ALBERT MANN - Pinot Noir - Clos de la Faille 2019
Domaine Albert Mann is located in Wettolsheim, Alsace. It is the result of the union of two great families of winegrowers: the Manns, winegrowers since the beginning of the 17th century and the Barthelmé, the current owners and winegrowers since 1654. The 23-hectare vineyard has been managed biodynamically since 1997 and divided into one a hundred small islands of cultures, worked like small gardens.
The Clos de la Faille is located in Wintzenheim, a continuation of the Grand Cru Hengst. The top of the clos contains pebbles of pink sandstone from the Vosges of Buntsandstein and limestone sandstone. In the middle are limestone pebbles from Muschelkalk, gray with a very fine grain, and Jurassic yellow. At the bottom, it is a mixture of Vosges sandstone pebbles and white and pink quartz. The Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1998.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
