G'Vine - Nouaison - Small Batch - Gin de raisin - 43.9%
G’Vine is a Gin produced by Maison Villevert, next to Cognac. It is a grape gin, produced in France by the master distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet. The aromatic secret of G'Vine gin lies in the use of vine flower, a rare and complex product to obtain. Ephemeral, this flower appears only a few days, usually in June. Flowering then gives the winegrower an idea of the date of the harvest, ie around a hundred days later. Since flowers are essential for grape production, picking them in the spring reduces the volume of the harvest in September. If we also take into account the vagaries of the weather and the risk of frost or hail, we understand that G’Vine is an exceptional, rare and delicate product.
It is in part thanks to the Ugni Blanc grape that Maison Villevert produces G’Vine. The master distiller had the idea of macerating this flower in grape alcohol, then blending everything with the juniper and 9 other plants and spices.
