Domaine La Porte Saint Jean is located in the village of Montreuil-Bellay, in the region of Anjou-Saumur in the Loire Valley . It has belonged to Sylvain Dittière since 2011, after professional experience alongside major winegrowers and estates: Gauby, Thierry Germain, Château Yvonne, Clos Rougeard... He operates more than 7 hectares of vines under certified organic farming since 2017. takes a minimalist approach to winemaking and ageing, uses very little sulfur and wood.
Six Roses is a natural sparkling produced mainly with Cabernet Franc , supplemented with Chenin Blanc . During maceration, Sylvain Dittière adds rose petals to the juice. This is a cuvée that pays homage to its father, a nurseryman. For this vintage, he uses a soft and sweet variety of rose, which macerates for 70 hours (instead of 10 hours for previous vintages) which gives it more pronounced floral aromas.
