ISLE OF HARRIS - Ceilidh Bottle - 45%
The Isle of Harris gin is passionately crafted in the charming village of Tarbert, located in the heart of the Scottish Hebrides. Its exceptional recipe highlights the "Sugar Kelp" seaweed, carefully and sustainably hand-harvested from the surrounding sea lochs by local inhabitants. This seaweed is a key botanical that fully reveals the authentic and unique maritime nature of the island. This gin also benefits from a natural softening thanks to the pure, low-mineral rainwater sourced from the nearby Abhainn Cnoc a ’Charrain spring, which flows close to the distillery. Beyond its remarkable taste character, the success of this distillery is closely linked to its social commitment, creating sustainable jobs on the island to support the often fragile local economy of the Hebrides, thus promoting responsible and lasting development.
At the distillery's inauguration, the team celebrated this historic moment with a traditional event called Cèilidh (pronounced Kay-lee), an essential Scottish cultural festival. More than 800 friends and islanders gathered to eat, drink, and dance all night in a private barrel warehouse still untouched by any production. In collaboration with the talented ceramicist Rupert Blamire, the special Harris Cèilidh bottle is handcrafted, blending craftsmanship and aesthetics. This limited, rare, and unique edition is specially designed to be gifted and shared, embodying the values of conviviality and authenticity inherent to the Scottish spirit.
