ISLE OF HARRIS - Ceilidh Bottle - 45%
Isle of Harris gin is made in the small village of Tarbert in the Hebrides of Scotland. The recipe uses 'Sugar Kelp' seaweed , sustainably hand-harvested from sea lochs by locals, as a key botanical to express the island's unique maritime nature. The gin is also sweetened by the cool, low-mineral rainwater that gushes from the nearby spring stream of Abhainn Cnoc a' Charrain. The success of the distillery is also directly linked to the creation of sustainable jobs on the island to meet demand and, in turn, support the often fragile economy of the islands.
When the distillery first opened its doors, the team celebrated the historic moment by hosting an event known as Cèilidh (pronounced Kay-lee). More than 800 friends and fellow islanders ate, drank and danced the night away to music in the then-empty private drum warehouse. With the help of ceramist Rupert Blamire , the Harris Cèilidh bottle is handcrafted with care and craftsmanship. Rare, unique and limited edition, this gin is designed to be gifted and shared with others.
