Akashi Sake Brewery is located in the Hyogo region, facing the Seto Inland Sea, Japan . The Yonezawa family settled in Akashi City in 1856. After mastering the art of brewing sake, the family began distilling in 1917. A century later, Kimio Yonezawa, the master blender, honors his legacy.
Shiraume is an Umeshu , a Japanese plum liqueur. The plums are macerated in Saké Ginjo for 6 months. The plum liqueur is then aged for 2 years in stainless steel vats.
