Wemyss Malts (pronounced 'Weyms' Malts') is an independent bottler from Scotland . The company was founded in 2005 by brother and sister William and Isabella Wemyss . The family have direct links to the history of Scotch whiskey, when Haig built the first distillery on their land in the Kingdom of Fife in 1840. The land has been used for many decades to grow quality barley and continues to grow. provide the best to maltsters for the production of whisky. This limited edition Kingsbarn is a Lowland Single Malt made from barley grown locally at the distillery in the Kingdom of Fife. It is aged and matured under the supervision of whiskey expert Jim Swan, in a combination of 1st fill ex-Bourbon casks and 1st fill Portuguese STR* red wine casks . It is bottled cask strength at 61.8%.
