Domaine de la Clartière - Vintage Pierrot 2021

The Domaine de la Clartière is located in Nueil-sur-Layon , in Anjou in the Loire Valley. It is a family estate for four generations of independent winegrowers now managed by Agnès, Pierrot, Pierre-Antoine and Edouard Pinet . The 32-hectare vineyard is in the process of being certified as High Environmental Value (HVE) and seven grape varieties are grown there. The wines of Domaine de la Clartière are mainly sold directly from the cellar or on the Vendée markets in summer.

The Pierrot cuvée is a Coteaux du Layon produced every year, reflecting each vintage. The wine is made from harvested Chenin Blanc grapes reaching over-ripeness and presenting on the vine a concentration by natural raisining or by the action of noble rot.
