Maison Jean Huttard - Faces - The Dandy 2019
Maison Jean Huttard is located in Zellenberg, Alsace . Independent winegrowers since 1860, the new impetus is given by Antoine and Hélène , brother and sister, passionate about local wines, respect for life and the environment. The 8 hectare vineyard is being converted to organic farming. The 45 plots are spread over 6 municipalities: this mosaic of terroirs makes it possible to work different types of soil (clay-limestone, marl-limestone, marl-calcareous sandstone, clay-marl or marl-sandstone), which favors the production of a wide range of wines.
The Visages range comes from the assembly of terroirs on different hillsides and villages. Each wine has its own personality and represents the men and women who marked, mark and will mark the history of Maison Huttard.
The Dandy is made from Riesling whose vines are over 30 years old, grown on clay and limestone soils. The whole harvest is put into direct pressing. The wine is aged for 20 months on fine lees .
Varietal: 100% Riesling
