Initially, Domaine Savanna, located in Saint-Paul at the foot of the mountains, became a candy at the beginning of the 19th century. The Savanna distillery was born a little later, fruit of the will of Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950. This former student of the Central School of Arts and Manufactures of Paris has been an international figure of the sugar industry. From 1982, a contract allows the Savanna distillery to raise the quality of its production in high-end rums, recognized quality that will have to be the first European distillery to be certified ISO 9002. Aging in casks and casks French oak from Limousin and Allier.

The wine Ommaggio is a rum of melasse said great aroma because it has carried out a very long fermentation. This rum aged 10 years from the vintage 2007 is a single cask, the number 515. It was aged in a barrel of Herr from the bottling of the house Vellier. 740 bottles were produced.
